WRT54G & VPN

Wonder if anyone can help with this.....

I've been happily using my WRT54G with the ntl 3meg service for the last 2 months. Funny problem however, in that I can't connect to my work VPN using the router (connect by cable that is, not wirelessly). If I power down the router and modem, and connect directly to the ntl modem, it works fine.

Anyone come across this before?. Its not a big hassle, however all the powering up & down is kinda annoying.

    Cheers!

There is a setting in the WRTg4Gs administrator settings that allow you to configure it for VPN access although it should be on by default, there are a few different VPN protocols.

When it detects these it automatically allows te connection to pass through, i use vpn with my router and it works using IPSEC protocol.
