    So I finally got around to paying for a subscription today...
    how long before it shows up on boards and my account is modified?

    I subscribed earlier today and I was able to access any forum I wanted , if ya know what I mean. ;)

    Go here and see if you can change your User Group to Subscribers

    If you did it by Paypal, it's automatically added, but you will need to add yourself to the subscriber's group. Go into your UserCP, and click on Group Memberships on the left hand side, then select the radio button beside the Subscribers group. Submit it, and you'll be updated with your shiny new stars.

    PM one of the Mods of S&S or an Smod then to get access to that forum.

    If you did it via paypal then you should already be in the Subscribers group. Go to your usercp and click on group memberships and see if it comes up.

    is it possible to subscribe and that fact not be expressed by the stars under your name. i mean can you keep them the normal colour etc. etc.

    Yup, you can. There are two options in the Group Membership - look as a Registered user or a Subscriber.

    If you wanna change the thing under your name to whatever you want, you can still do so by clicking on Reg User (keeping the blue stars), or else click on Sub (changing to red stars and your username in italics)

    From what I've been messing around with anyway, I think! :D
