I'll start the ball rolling, I've seen a few '94 lagunas around over the last few days and I have to say they don't look like they're 11 years old. The design still looks fresh and contemporary. Considering many of renaults other offerings looked jaded about half way through their production life, the 9, 11, 18, 19 and 21 for example, this is an astonishing achievement by the same company. What other cars 10 years + are still looking the part?

I know i am bending the rules slightly but:
Pug 406 coupe, introduced mid 1997 IIRC and therefore nearly 10 years old

And of course, the MX5....... :p

Saw a '94 BMW 318 coupe earlier and it still looked damn good, it was obviously very well looked after because i have seen some that look terrible but in general the car is ageing very well

I think the previous 5 Series is still looking good after almost 10 years.

Also the last version of the Mazda RX-7 looks good for a car that was designed in 1992.

The Honda NSX still manages to turn heads even after 15 years.

The Lambo Diablo is also looking well after all these years.

Tbh the NSX and the Lambo should, being supercars, as should the RX-7. Another car is the Mk 2 MR2, that was a 1989/90 design wasn't it

The XK8 was introduced in about 96 which isn't quite the 10 but I think it looks more relevant now than it did then.

my 94 E36 is looking damn good...... :D

i had it for sale here, but im keeping onto it for the minute as im too busy to sell it.

but even if i had no BMW, its fair to say the E36 series is pretty damn sexy, either in coupe or saloon format, for a 10 yr old car i mean....!

well jaguars etype is still futuristic after all these years and is arguably the finest looking car of all time, i reakon the xk8/xkr is still fabulously attractive and anyone thats driven an xkr would be amazed at the power of it at 400bhp.

having said all that mercedes 1989-2002 SL gets my vote, is still a serious machine both in looks and power in the form of the 500sl

I think the Mitsubishi FTO is still a great looking car 10 years (+?) on Google Image Search

Two of my favourites are the NSU Ro80 and the Jensen Interceptor/FF.

Very true, I was actually right behind a silver Interceptor (could have been anything from silver to a dark grey) in traffic on the Stillorgan dual carriageway the other day.

    Maserati Ghibli, still beautiful.

For a fancy car, nissan skyline, still looks class, but that's kinda what you expect from a dear car.

For just a normal car, don't see anything wrong with a mazda 323f.

If we're talking about normal everyday cars I think the Peugeot 205 still looks neat, TWENTY TWO years after it was first introduced. I'm not just talking about the GTi versions either.

The original Nissan Primera (introduced in late 1990) still looks decent to me and better than its modern equivalent. Also, if you could buy a brand new one today I feel that it would not disgrace itself if tested against modern competitors.

The previous two generations of BMW 7 series (which are 11 and 18 year old designs) still look well, especially when compared with their modern equivalent

Curvy cars to age a lot better than angular ones!

The 92 Honda Civic looks a lot better than the 92 Ford Escort :p

Actually, how about the BMW 8 Series - now that is a cracking looking motor, and I think it is > 10 years old?

    bit off topic but...

In a few years to come I think this car will still be looking the bogs bollocks:

safe to say this one won't:

mmm...don't know... The 'ole De Lorean, with all the aerodynamicism of a dresser, still looks good in my books.

Edit: and while I'm on about cubes on wheels that still look good, I wish I hadn't sold my Delta Integrale - still manages to look more macho than a Scooby on steroids :D

Jeez I would have said the exact opposite. The Audi looked dated when it was launched - bland and insipid.

The Multipla is attractively ugly, and I reckon will be the only classic MPV!

    De Lorean
    Toyota Supra
    Skyline (of course)

someting like the ferrari F355GTS looks superb today ( saw one of them in town the other day)
    f355gts3.jpg

Tho i suppose at the price of them, that car would still need to turn heads almost 10 years on!

good one, i almost thought you were serious for a minute until i looked at the picture of the multipla again, if it had a mother, she'd think it's ugly.

Alfa Romo SZ (1990) still looks as outrageous and beautifully ugly as it did when new.

Maserati Shamal - still fresh and monster looking too.

I reckon very few cars in the last 10 years look good. To many gratuitous curves, wide flanks and big arses.

    Mike.

Assuming we're not talking about classic cars or exotica, but stuff on sale in the early nineties:

    Saab 900

Nissan Figaro (though I guess thats pretty exotic)

    Renault Twingo

I'd agree with the Multipla (is it ten years old yet though?)

    Suzuki Cappacino

    Honda Prelude

    Ford Probe
    Honda Integra

I am perfectly serious. The multipla is a very attractive car (to me). I admire its innovative packaging, its clever glasshouse and particularly it's two-tier lighting. It is safe, strong, has good engines and excellent handling for such a high car. If I were to be a victim of my own virility, it would be my only choice.

Granted the proportions are ....somewhat challenging. I did say attractively ugly! Much like the Alfa SZ that el tel mentioned (wish I had thought of that one).

The audi is completely unchallenging, amorphous, anonymous, insipid and derivative. It is an insomniacs cure, a sop to suburban hacks and aspirational social climbers. It does not extend the development of the automobile one iota. Nice interior though :)
