Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

does anyone think hearts could cause the old firm a lot of problems this season?
last season they more than held there own in many of the meetings.this season they are adding george burley as manager, and a host of eastern europeans
    Roman Bednar - czech striker
Michal Pospisil - lithunian striker (to be confirmed)
    Edgaras Jankauskas - Lithuanian striker
Rudolph Skacel - Czech Republic midfielder

as well as holding onto many of there better players such as pressley and hartley.
while it is very difficult to look outside of celtic and rangers, i think hearts could very well break some...... em..... hearts this season....... :)

How good was their defence last season? Seems most of the players mentioned will be forward orientated...

Also, are these players that the manager wants or are they impossed by their owner? If it all gels together then hopefully they do manage to provide a bit of competition.

celtic conceded 35 goals last season.
most of the signings have happened since burley took over.not sure if he was responsible for bringing rasiak to derby but if he did it seems he may have a preference for eastern europeans.i shall be watching them clsely this season

Skacel is on loan from Marseille. He has played for the Czech Republic (scored in his last cap against Canada) and was a regular in the CL last season, scoring against Rosenborg.

Aberdeen were also after a Polish international striker. A lot of teams are strengthening and the easy wins for Celtic and Rangers are no more.

Jankauskas is a good striker, Id say he might well bag about 20 to 25 next season.

I think the Spl will be much tighter this season Hearts,Hibs and Aberdeen have good managers now and have added a bit of quality.
