Personal feelings aside. Johnny Wilkson is a supreme example of high preformance sport excellence.

    He is amazing.

    Somebody's in love!

lets not go mad here. His kicking was decidedly meh and tbh the game was better as a result.

    Its not that.

Its his passion and dedication that are outstanding. Even his after match commentary was good; 'We won but I need to practice more'.

Nope, that's definitely love! Maybe with a little bit of lust thrown in :D

And lets be honest, Jonny's not half the player he was 4 years ago, his performance tonight was only just above average and he knew it.

Meh.. you don't see too much of that level of dedication.

    Wilco, Schumacher, Federer, Debevich (shooter)..

Thats what I find great (and puts me in awe!)

I wonder what he says to himself before he kicks a ball...

In other woo-hoo/anti-moan thread news... only a few days til the Alternative Freshers Ball! :D

The reason wilkinson is an amazing player is NOT because of his kicking ability.

Its that for someone playing in a position where, with his ability, his actual contact with opposing player should be kept to a minimum, when he does he puts his body on the line every time he has to. its highly impressive.

I understand economical things that until 3 minutes had confounded me for the last few days!

In your face confusing Solow Growth Model!

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,452 ✭✭✭Time Magazine

I haven't seen last year's paper but pretty much all previous questions on Solow have been so mathematical no understanding was needed, just algebraic/differential manipulation!

But yeah I really need to go over the whole tendency to converge thing by Friday.

You'd think that.. but you do need to marry the theory to the maths to fully get it. Plus he skipped a couple steps along the way.

Still, the theory is pretty straight forward.

    I'm not marrying no-one.

I have decided. I am changing my hairstyle somewhat.
I will not get it cut short, but rather trimmed.

All suggestions welcome apart from 'shave it all off'

    also:

WOOHOO! I won the competition yesterday and over half of DURC won class prizes!

What shape face do you have? This is necessary to know, as hairstyle recommendations will change accordingly.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,311 ✭✭✭xebec

Shave most of it off, but leave a little ponytail at the back :D

I blame trying to manage a relationship over facebook whilst both people are doing a lot of travelling for the mix up.

I wouldn't watch that film again if someone had a gun to my head and my nuts in a vice.

I liked it - but my taste in movies / music has been questioned.

New Year in Thailand. On a 5-star beach resort (indeed, the world's largest resort complex). Competing in the World University Debating Championships. This is the coolest thing ever.*

*yes, I know it's sad that the coolest thing ever involves debating. But who cares? Thailand!

I am drunk. I am still in my room with Mr. B.ie Polar (who's also drunk). Security may hav ebeen in my room after Mr. ApeX gave everyone a massage. And Mr. Europerson and Mr. Zaraba had fun, despite me making a ridiculously offensive comment to Mrs. Zaraba which I apologised to profusely for.

My head's going to hurt for my lecture in four hours.
