Were deadly. I was about a metre from the front, and it was insanely squashed, but so good. Everyone was off their face though.

After Oasis in the Point, back in '95 or so, i had foot shaped bruises all over my body. Great concert, the Manic Street Preachers were supporting.

I got absolutely destroyed in a moshpit at Metallica in the RDS a few years back. The bruises faded, but I still have a t-shirt that's covered in bloodstains, only some of which are mine. It's my token of victory.

I have merchandise from a Einstuerzende Neubauten gig covered in blood from where my hands were bleeding after the welts on them burst in a nasty fashion. All thanks to the fact that the band invited the audience to drum on the provided scrap metal with the bits of metal piping provided. What followed was 40 minutes of 500 people walloping on sheet metal in an odd timing. It was **** glorious!

Woohoo! I went into M&S today to get cookies, and they had two absolutely MASSIVE ones there (each is 175% normal size) so I got extra cookie goodness.

The library have vouchers for Nude (free muffin with coffee) and Captain Americas + Wagamama (buy a main course, get one free) disguised as bookmarks reminding us to treat books with tlc.

The vouchers expire by the 30th November, and there were loads of them today at the main desk in the Ham Library.

Oh they were. You could nearly serve them as a main course.

SomaFM Xmas in Frisco is back!!!!!

    http://www.soma.fm/

SomaFM has a series of Internet-streaming stations. Which are generally good. But the star of the show is the annual 'Xmas in Frisco' channel, which mixes in standard Christmas music with favourites such as 'I saw Mommy banging Santa Claus', 'I want a hippopotamus for Christmas' and not forgetting 'Grandma got run over by a reindeer'...

It's Christmas And I Wonder Where I Am (tune: Winter Wonderland)
    At the office Christmas party,
I started out with a Bacardi.
    I didn't get sauced,
    But, right now, I'm lost!
It's Christmas and I wonder where I am!

    I had a beer at my brother's,
Had egg nog at my mother's,
    Then two bottles of wine.
    Which automobile's mine?
It's Christmas and I wonder where I am!

Someone caught me dancing with a snowman.
Policemen came and put me in their car.
They asked, 'Are you drunk?' And I said, 'No, man,
But could you drop me off at the next bar?'

    I guess my wife must be missing;
Who's this dog that I'm kissing?
    They say his name's 'Spot',
    And he likes me...a lot!!
It's Christmas and I wonder where I am!

I was looking for a lady I could dance with,
And so I stood beneath the mistletoes.
Someone said, 'You'd have a better chance if
You take the lamp shade off and put back on your clothes'!

Well it's time to be going.
I'm naked! Is it still snowing?
    It's time I should leave,
But I'll be back New Year's Eve!!!
It's Christmas and I wonder where I am!
It's Christmas and I wonder where I am!

sorry who is Nietzschean? Serenity you've changed identities again?!

The motion said the officers would be fined if they were caught without a wand. Does that mean that for everytime someone asks to see their wand, and gets no presentation of a wand, that 2 euro is payable.

/me thinks i have just figured a way to reclaim all that expenditure on sabbatical officers wages

Woohoo for M&S food, especially their pomengranate juice. It's not cheap, at €3.50 for 500ml, but it's worth it, nicest juice ever! In other news, my head is completely melted from a day of chemistry and biology labs that were very very calculation-happy. I'm going to listen to some music and drool quietly for the next hour..
