Had my first interview since becoming a bum today. I think it went well. I shall treat myself to some wine tonight. Yum.

So that's why I haven't seen you around..
Congrats to everyone in the thread ever. We are so very pretty.

The interview went so well I got offered a job. A dead-end, part-time job, but gainful employment nonetheless. I shall treat myself to two wines tonight.

We're definitely going to Doyle's. Ignore what Boston says.

Boston has that magic key too.

I've heard your lies before, Mr. Mitchell. You'll probably leave us for some 'irl' friends like you've done before.

You should be so lucky (lucky, lucky, lucky),
You should be so lucky in love.

Remember, its not gay so long as the balls don't touch.

I've spent more than a week slaving over a presentation that I had to give in front of my entire department - but now I'm DONE and it WENT WELL and it's THE WEEKEND (for me anyway!)

Sweet, on a routine google of my name I discovered that photos from my final year project were used by the Geological Survey of Ireland. That's kinda sweet.

Nokia S60 instructions for TCDwifi

Create new access point:

Connection Name: TCDwifi (Or call it what you want)
Data Bearer: Wireless LAN
WLAN network name: TCDwifi (case sensitive)
Network Status: Hidden
WLAN network mode: Infrastructure
WLAN Security mode: 802.1x
WLAN security settings:
WPA/WPA2: EAP
EAP plug-in settings:
EAP-LEAP selected and as first priority

Deselect the rest.

EAP-LEAP settings:
U/name: Your college one
Prompt p/word: No
P/word: Your college one

EAP-PEAP settings:
Personal cert: Not def.
Auth cert: Not def.
U/name in use: User def.
U/name: Your college one
Realm in use: From cert.
Realm: Blank
Allow PEAPv0,1,2: Yes

PEAP-EAP's
Deselect all except EAP-MSCHAPv2 and raise to 1st priority

EAP-MSCHAPv2 sett.
U/name: Your college one
Prompt p/word: Yes
P/word: Your college one

Now you need to go back out to the main screen where you keyed in the ssid of the network.
Options -> Advanced Settings -> Proxy
Proxy server address: proxyA.tcd.ie or proxyB.tcd.ie (pick which ever, they are just load balancing)

Port number: 8080

Those settings are fantastic and work perfectly to connect and get local access but unfortunately I can't seem to find a way to set up a proxy username and password which means that this pops up when trying to get to external sites

Any ideas?

Unfortunately no..

The standard way of username:password@website doesn't work either.. :(

So all I'll get is local access? That's about as useful as a hole in the head.

Oh no.. i thought you were talking about storing the username and password for the proxy. I have full external access on my phone.

Did you do this bit?

Yeah, i did, I was assuming I'd get a pop-up for my proxy login.

I'll play around with it again next time I'm on campus. It should work but it just doesn't.

Woo: Went to a fantastic gig tonight. Can't mention which one due to legal difficulties, but it was legendary. A great payoff to a lifetime of fandom.

Hoo: My dog didn't die today. I'm going to be a terrible father. I spent the whole day chewing my finger nails while she was in the vets. I worried myself sick. The flip side is a whopping 400 squid in vet bills, but its totally worth it.
