Wierd Problem with Unlocked NEC 616V

Accepts all SIMs, but if I put in a 3G Vodafone Ireland SIM the phones picks Vodafone IE, but wont call, accept calls or texts. If I go to network settings and try a manual search this option doesn't work But if I use an O2 SIM or a non 3G Vodafone SIM the phone works and I can do a manual network search Any help much…
