Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Right Folks...........

Plz help me as I'm about 2 go insane!

I've bought a 60GB ipod but can't use in as my pc uses Windows ME & the pod needs XP!!!!!!

I've tried installing XP from a copied disk but a fatal error appears to the sound of:

'SXS.DLL: Syntax error in manifest or policy file "D:\1386\asms\6000\MSFT\windows\common\controls.man" on line 0.

    Error:

    Installation failed: D:\1386\asms.

    Somebody pls HELP!

How can I go about installing XP on my computer??????

I'm sure you could get this to interface with ME http://www.ipodlinux.org/

or if you had used google on "windows me" ipod you'd have found xplay by mediafour.com allows the ipod to be used by Windows Me and 98. I have used it and it's great. http://www.ephpod.com/download.shtml , and that's the first two hits.
this may be out of date but http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/ipodforwindowsupdater.html
    Or linux boot disk
For all the lucky iPod users, there is a nice application for Knoppix: klik://gtkpod (klik client must be installed, see http://klik.berlios.de)

And just how were you going to activate XP or Patch it from now on ?
I'd laugh if you'd trashed ME with the XP install

You think it's ok to pirate several hundred euros' worth of software instead of using google or just asking if anyone had a workaround ?
