I don't know anyone, but there is info on this course here:

    http://www.tcd.ie/Classics/courses/ahacourse.html

Though if you're thinking about doing it, you've probably seen that! Info from admissions is also here. You could ring up the department (click staff on the left) to ask them about job potentials.

If you're really curious, you could use http://peoplefinder.tcd.ie to track down some current 3rd or 4th years who would tell you about the course. Just find their email address and ask them...some of them might be responsive.

Apart from that, there's some information on the Admissions site if you're interested.

I do Classics, but I know lots of people doing Ancient History and Archaeology, and I've taken some of the classes myself. I think the Department is closed for August and most of the staff are away, but pm me and I'll put you in touch with one or 2 fourth years who'd be happy to answer your questions.
The most important thing to know is that the course is limited to the ancient Greek and Roman civilizations, whereas the UCD Archaeology course is more broad-ranging (but provides less training in history).
The link edu-myth gave has pretty detailed descriptions of the courses you'd be taking. You might also want to check out the Archaeology Society website.

EDIT:Some more general info. The course is good craic, there's an opportunity to join both the Archaeology and Classical Societies (shameless plug) who are both v. active. The lecturers are excellent and very friendly, and as the department's relatively small they get to know you quite quickly. Most years there's a study trip to Greece with students from other Irish universities. The fact that you get trained in Ancient History AND in Archaeology is also a bonus as you get a more rounded view of the ancient world, rather than seeing it primarily in archaeological or historical terms.

A firend of mine does it, he is going into second year now and has really enjoyed the first year. Wherever I see him he always seems to be doing some quiz on the computers for his course about columns.

I'll try to get more info for you.
