Camera memory card corrupt?

When I went to turn on my camera, after using it no problem the previous day, it would not access my photos. When I attach it to the pc and attempt to transfer images I can see the first 10 or so coming up, then it seems it detects a problem and shuts the program down. Just posting in the hope that someone might know…
