Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Robbed the idea from musician (Yoink! :D )

    Whats allowed:
1)name of the crap movie (or movies) and then the reason why you like it
    2)agreeing with peoples choice's

    Whats not allowed:
telling people why their choice is stupid/ they are stupid
    etc.

ps dont forget to use spoilers (if necessary)

    well ill start

Alien Vs Preditor - great fun, no brainer ronseal movie
Freddy Vs Jason - see above only better
Bring it on - come on people, its a movie about cheerleaders!!! hot girls + skimpy clothes + cheesy dialog & songs = me happy
Daredevil - one of the few comicbook movies that was a bit more gritty (and yes i have seen sin city)
Brain Candy: Kids in the Hall - me and a friend saw this movie years ago, no one else even heard of it, it was really wierd but quite funny with one memerable line in it
Mom: hey kids wheres your father?
Kids (in unison): he's upstairs masturbation to gay porn.....again :D

Kickboxer - shockingly cheesy, but I know every line after repeated viewing. Perfect example of the 'You killed my brother, now I'm going to become a warrior and kill you back' genre. A lot of subsequent films probably copied the format!

Loved UHF - so bad I loved it

Not Another Teen Movie - Don't know why I find this funny as most of the films its making fun of I don't like!

Big Business - Bette Midler, need I say more!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 420 ✭✭RustySpoon

The Running Man - classic game show violence (p.s. why are game shows gone in favour of reality tv?)
Serial Mom - White shoes before labour day
Airplane! - the sh*t's about to hit the fan

I really liked Josie and the Pussycats.

I have the DVD and the soundtrack and everything...

    "Josie and the Pussycats
Long tails and ears for hats
    Guitars and Marshall stacks
    Hot, sweet, super-cool
    Don't you know
    These kitties rule?
    Hurry, hurry"

It's actually alot better than I expected it to be alright.

I love the way the main character is considered really ugly as she wears glasses, has her hair tied back and has paint on her clothes.

Kickboxer - That scene when he's drunk and dancing. I think it made me **** my pants a little.

Commando, Running Man in fact everything arnie did in the 80's.

Big Trouble in Little China - Nuff Said.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,889 ✭✭✭SteM

Fortress - Christopher Lambert is such a bad actor he's good sometimes. No, that wasn't supposed to make sense to anyone else.

Running Man?? This is a Crap Movie? I love it :D

Freddy vs. Jason - great film, good fun and a hell of a lot better than Jason X.

also Bring It On, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and Bad Taste

Though tbh I don't think any of these are crap, they're class fun...

Loads of the movies made by the company UFO

Like Deep Evil, Apex, Dark Waters, They have returned, etc....I love my cheesy B-Movies!

Also movies by Nu-Image I love, such as Spiders and Alien Lockdown. Again, B-Movie cheese at its finest.

AVP - Being a huge fan of both franchises it was a bit of a disappointment, but with all the slating going on about it before I saw it I didn't think it was as bad as it was made out to be. Easy on the brain.
Freddy vs. Jason Kind of the opposite to the above; being a fan of neither franchise I was able to just sit back and laugh. Enjoyable I found.
    Jason X Just.....hilarious. I mean,
when Jason wakes up on the ship and dips yer wan's face into the liquid nitrogen and then smashes her face on the table had me in tears. Plus the fight between the female robot and Jason, and finally when the girls are in the sleeping bag and he's whacking them against a tree
Under Siege Steven Segal at his...er....finest :)

I'll post more later no doubt, can't think of any more right now!

'The book that wrote itself'. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0289670/

Crappy little Irish comedy about a guerella filmmaker/writer who decides to make a movie of his own unpublished novel in order to prove to publishers that his book should be snapped up immediately! It's a bizarre journey from Dublin to Venice mixing acted scenes in with faked interviews with Hollywood stars in order to 'get them in' his movie.

Eh it's just to weird, haphazard and cheesy not to at least give it a chance. Check it out!

Just watched They Live the other night for the first time ever. It was always one of those movies that I never got around to watching (eventhough I'm a John Carpenter fan) but the cover was very familiar to me as I grew up in the horror section of the video store.

It has a great quote by Roddy Piper - "I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubble gum" - he then proceeds to unleash some unexpected pain upon a bunch of people. There's also an unnecessarily dragged out fight scene in it. I'll say no more. But it's hilarious.

    Highly recommended for it's cheese.

  • Registered Users Posts: 126 ✭✭silenoz

Anyone seen "Fatal Deviation"? There's a film I really want to see... And would fit in nicely in this thread.

But films I have to vote for:

    Death Race 2000
Excessive Force 2 : Force on Force (that's a lot of force isn't it?)
    Over the Top (classic!)
    And anything with Chuck Norris!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 456 ✭✭Scratch Acid

There's also an unnecessarily dragged out fight scene in it.

Possibly the best fight scene ever.

    P.S. Not really.

    Several already mentioned are among my favourites;
    Death Race 2000
    Resident Evil's
    Dude, Where's My Car
    Hackers
    Running Man
Big Trouble in Little China (Fantastic!!!! Watched it again a few nights ago)
    Fortress
Tremors (Again absolutely fantastic!! Pardon my french..)

    New ones;
Fortress II, classic Chris Lambert (or as a french friend of mine calls him Christoph Lambear [phonetically]) action - in space!

    Braindead -
Oh how i laugh at the zombie baby in the park scene..and the karate priest!

Mars attacks. not sure if this passes as a bad movie but i know a lot of people that hate it and i absolutely love it so it comes in.

Waterworld. It may have flopped, had a sunken set, starred kevin costner and been pretty much unfeasible and ridiculous, but i still love it!

Missing in Action Series. Millions of em, just classic simple no holds bars action.
At this point its like Missing In Action 15 - "The wars been over 20 years, But Nobody Told Chuck!" Que Chuck runnin about Vietnam cities skulking behind walls and jumping out to beat poor random civilians a lá Russel Crowe in southpark!

Original Mean Machine. Definately not a crap movie, in fact a fantastic one, pity people wont see it due to the new one, just wanted to include it to raise awareness anyway - Burt Reynolds; Coolest Man Ever!!

<edit> sorry if anyone saw the spoiler before i fixed it!

No one has yet mentiones the Rocky films?!? What the hell is going on?

Okay, Rocky is a genuinely great film, in most peoples opinions, so that one doesn't count.

Rocky II: I don't like this at all. They just tried to do the first one again, while overdoing everything. I'm not a fan.

Rocky III: Class. I love it all, even if the big fight was a rip-off of the rumble in the jungle, to some extent. I think the very end, with Rocky and Apollo in the gym alone would have been the perfect ending for a trilogy.

Rocky IV: Okay, could any film possibly have been more over the top (Stallone pun intended, sorry!)? Its totally ridiculous! Thats the charm though. I love the parallels in the training sequence; as Drago knocks a sparring partner, Rocky cuts down a tree; as Drago runs uphill on the treadmill, Rocky legs it up a mountain. The fight was awesome too. Remember Rocky's comeback in round two? "THE RUSSIAN IS CUT! AND ITS A BAD CUT!!!" Gooseflesh every time.

    Rocky V: ........Nevermind.

Deep Blue Sea - as a side effect of growing their brains to harvest a protein complex that will cure Alzheimer's Disease, the sharks got smarter!!!
I adore this movie. Especially Sam L Jackson's 'We've all got to pull together' speech
    ;-)

The Mummy and the Mummy Returns. I just love Brendan Fraser in this. And all the hokey magicky stuff. And poor old Imhotep who just wants to bring his girlfriend back from the dead. And also to rule the world.

Highlander - the Scot with the French accent, the Egyptian-Spanish dude with the Edinburgh accent and the bit where you can see the strings holding him up in the air! Also it gave us the wonderful Highlander series so that's another bonus point. Though the sequels are all rubbish. Especially the second one.
