Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Digiweb's new wireless locations

I just signed up to digiweb wireless broadband. Im too far from the exchange to get ADSL and it looks like the only option left. Digiweb say that their transmitter is live, however when I phoned up they said they would be under trials for another month or so. I wanted a engineer to come out to see if I can get hooked up but they told me to wait.

So what is Digiweb wireless broadband like ? Is line of sight required ? Does the connection drop much of the time ? Overall what do you think of it?

Thanks very much for the help

Digiweb is much like any other ISP.
They provide their service(Last mile internet connectivity) to you.
They do, however use the medium of RF (wireless) to send and recieve information.
Their connection quality depends on each individual person, and their setup.
I read online that they have 99%+ uptime. But this figure is unverified.
Perhaps if you asked/searched these queries in the broadband forum, you might get some better/more relevant answers.

I've got it. It's alright, not great as you'll be paying 35 a month for a 512k service when for the same price dsl wise you'd be getting 2mb, not to mention the 79 euro installation fee for a ten minute job. The quality of service varies for no apparent reason from day to day to, but what can you expect I suppose.
