I agree. Its been really crap tbh. No long spells of sunny weather at all really. Apart from that week of excellent summer weather we had.

Well at least the Bank Holiday Weekend weather was fabulous.

Everyone here has had to come indoors because they're all sunburnt.

full days sunshine today "here" (new york :p ) but insufferably hot again around the ninties.
This may interest you mothman but I was in pennsylvania yesterday and stopped to look at a field of maize that was easily 3 feet over my head-maize is everywhere here(corn on the cob to the rest of you)
I'm about 6'3 so that would make the plant close to 9 and a half feet tall.

July was looking like a great month leading me to think we were in for another cracking summer with 2 good weeks of weather but i didnt expect the cold plunge from the 22nd July to last so long, looking at the charts over the next week shows below average temperatures once again but at least it should be a little dryer than those downpours of last week with things warming temporarily next weekend.

I'm afraid it is, you should be feeling it now.
Blame the bermuda high for steering up the southwesterlies.
Some continous and fantastic lightning to the north of New york last night :)

Well on balance we get it better in east, so I'm delighted that at least somewhere and in particular the west got it good.

ahh it 's just so great to return to Ireland after 2 weeks away :o

The poor french holiday makers looked a tad concerned as they arrived
in Cork this morning with 25m visibility and pelting rain, never
mind the temperature which was no more than 12c...
