    To the original poster.. first thing I'd suggest is distance yourself from the ex a bit. As long as you're that close there's no real "incentive" for either of ye to move on as you have a boy/girlfriend substitute in each other..

    Btw.. I was in Galway at the weekend - great spot! :)

    i don´t think you should dress up.. if a guy isn´t gonna like ya for who you are then its not worth it anyway... i agree with draupnir... if you stop worrying about gettin a guy, and get on with living YOUR life then´what you´re lookin for will find you... thats how i met my girlfriend, she was exactly who i was lookin for when i wasn´t looking, if that makes sense
