Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I leave my computer on overnight. Sometimes, when I access computer in the morning, it opens to a different user , not the default.Doesthis indicate an attempt, successful or not, to breach my security?.
I have broadband which I usually switch off overnight.

maybe if you leave the wireless router on overnight, and its not configured properly, someone could be accessing your computer like that..but it could be something simple.

Correct me if i'm wrong..i was told by some people that the first of the wireless routers rolled out for eircom broadband had encryption switched off.

And it was easy to gain access to a system connected to it.

Have a look at the event viewer: click start -> run -> eventvwr.msc

It will show logon/off events under the security tab, though I'm just after thinking that it might not be turned on by default. If it's not it should be under the local security policy options: start->run->secpol.msc

I can't check at the moment as our work machines are tied down tight.

    Thanks for your help

I found log using eventvwr.msc as suggested and found one logon by different
user which may have been by myself accidently.
Looking at log should be useful,if it happens again
