Jesus Christ! I just found out that women with tattoos on their lower backs can't have the epidural when they go into labour!
    Did anyone know that?

Glad I don't have one! Hate that!

Do a search on bmezine.com/qod if you don't believe me.
It's never been proven to be dangerous and has never caused problems. I think it's just some (perhaps a little incompetent) medical professionals get scared when they can't see what they're working with. Some people get told by nurses that they can't take a blood sample if they have full tattoo sleeves, for instance. All nurses should be able to find a vein practically while blindfolded.

can the moderator please delete this thread in-case anyone beleves the first post?

Well if anyone's stupid enough to read just the first post in a thread and ignore the rest, taking the content of the first as gospel, then I think they deserve to be left to believe it.
I'm just glad I can now tell my sisters that this definitely is just an urban legend as they've often mentioned it and the who thing baffled me as to why pigment in the skin would have any effect on an injection into the spine?

I just heard some bull**** about the positioning of the needle. Anyway, twas all bull so I'm glad it's cleared up now!.... Tbh,I shouldn't have believed the guy anyway. He also once claimed to know for a fact that the biggest selling flavour of condoms was cheese and onion! Apologies to all! :D
