Wow, I remember this. Anyway, my question was never properly answered:
    Pete Townshhend
    vs.
    Jimi Hendrix
    1. They're at Woodstock, 1969. Therefore, they're both still alive .
    2. Their only weapons are 1 Stratocaster each.
That's it! I'm putting you on my Buddy list! Don't say I didn't warn you 'cause that's what I'm about to say! I didn't warn you!

    Townshend.
Jimi may have the upper hand - ever so slightly - on the pyrotechnics, but Townshend has the songwriting, and increased creativity, more stage dynamism (Yes, you heard me) and a broader range of styles. Plus, since it's '69, this is before the child porn days so you have no mud to sling.

Come on Dave Franklin, Admit I'm right.
He also has the fact that he's an insane genius to his credit!

As well as the voice of 60s adolescence, and has a shoulder which cannot be destroyed by any windmill (try the windmill thing. Go on, try it, and you'll see what I mean). He also invented destroying things onstage. And I have the greatest soundbite ever of him, involving him just shouting at the crowd to sit down: "this is a f***ing rock n roll concert, not some f***ing tea party." Nice man.

Woot. Townshend appreciation. Let's just have a bit of Who appreciation. Because this is soooo on-topic. Also: IRON MAIDEN!!! WOOO!!!

    Indeed. WHHOOOO!!!
As in The Who, and... I'll shut up now.

Who'd win? David Bowie or Mick Jagger? A guy who can't age versus another guy who started dying his hair black before he was 30?

I would vote Mick Jagger on the sole virtue of the Mick Jagger room.

David Bowie does have anisocoria, though, which is cool...

    Cad é anisocoria?

Well a handy google will solve your problems fairly swiftly... But anisocoria is the differently-sized pupil condition he has going on.

I know this because I may have accidentally given said condition to my dog.

Sometimes I fall in love... do tell, won't you?

It involved her face/eye area, and a tennis ball. Which I threw. Pretty hard.

I also gave her a couple of other things... such as Horner's Syndrome.

I took a risk by asking last time I'm not gonna go near this one!

Ok. Wait. Jaypers. There really is no question here. I fail to see any area of cool or success in which Bowie outstrips Mick. I mean, the Ziggy days were awfully great, and Dave had some great songs to his name, but Mick... I mean... MICK!

The best frontman. Of the best band. Ever. I would elaborate, but you're smart people and I'm sure that you can see my point and need no further convincing.

Also, what room did Bowie have erected in his honour? And if there was one, did it have a theme tune? I think you'll find that the answer is an emphatic no.

you bought a card to print things for your project and ended up decorating your room with pictures of mick jagger. it was weird
Who were the other pictures in your room of?

This is the point where I get scared. But yeah, Mick's the man, much as I love Bowie.

Bob Dylan vs. Johnny Cash (first two CDs I saw when I looked around just there)
Bob has my vote (as every who was in my class has already predicted. Not just because he's a better songwriter, but also because of his impact on our culture. The world hasn't been the same since Like A Rolling Stone, or Subterranean Homesick Blues.
