Property guide prices on Daft seem a bit daft.

Look at these two properties on daft ...

    www.daft.ie/123869 Guide Price €155,000

    www.daft.ie/120059 Guide Price €160,000

Both appear to be the exact same property, however the description (and photos) on the more expensive one seem to be taken by a crazy person (everything written in caps, pics very unflattering angles and cluttered).

Case of a buyer getting greed and doing their own botched job, or an indication that the prices on offer are artificially inflated and not realistic in some ads ?

It looks like the ad.s were done by different agents and each put their own price own it.

As to whether anyone is crazy, surely that only applies to the buyers, sellers and estates agents. :D

I've seen much wider differentials on daft relating to rented accomodation and this is bound to happen in an unregulated advertising portal.

Having said that it is still the best place to research rentals and some purchases.

www.myhome.ie can have differentials but critically it is regulated by prominent IAVI member companies accross the regions. The IAVI also have a search facility on www.iavi.ie
