Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You're wasting your time blu_sonic. These people are obsessed with english football. To them there is no other football:rolleyes: One even said he was in withdrawal cos there was no football in the summer:rolleyes: Hello your own league. It's on your doorstep and is better than shouting at a tv screen for one foreign team against another...........

No way, eventhough the EL gets little coverage there is no way in hell that the likes of RTE would pass up on the chance to show an Irish team in the CL over a English one. I'm not too sure about TV3 though

Edit What am I saying, TV3 have lost CL rights from next year anyway.

agreed its for a diff thread, but i just ment that even though they had EL rights all channels choose not to use there qotas, there were ment to be many more EL games on TV, i think they held back on there football quotas so as to show more prem footy. just to point out, regardless of how far awayyou are for an EL side your further from england, but i wasn't asking people to go to EL its not my place to tell anybody who or who not to support (i will be keeping an intrest with england in the WC), i just wanted to point out the serious lack of EL on tv.

Any chance you could change the record, it's really getting tiresome? People will watch and support who they want and no amount of whinging from you or anyone else will alter that one iota.

I see they managed to book a ref for turners cross tonight.

I started this thread to keep people informed about Prem matches easily accessible by the majority of TV viewers in this country on Saturdays at 3pm. It's that simple. Arguing that RTÉ not putting money into Eircom League football instead is stifling the home game is not what this thread was intended for.

I am going to repost Leonard's addition to the list for next Saturday as it may not be seen with all the other stuff up here now.

What an apt name. I was'nt "whinging" just pointing out some facts is all.

I see players still cant hear you when you shout at them in a pub.

I'll post this in here but **** Setanta. I've seen every Celtic match this season because all their away matches are on Setanta on a Sunday and Channel 67 show the home Saturday matches. Channel 67 is an official celticfc.net streaming channel for €13 a month. The quality was excellent and they put a lot of work into it. Previously anyone in the UK could not get live streaming matches but now Setanta have complained that the Irish can still get them and we now can't watch the matches. I found this out just 5 bloody minutes ago and I'm left listening to the match on the radio.

I believe RTÉ has pencilled in West Ham — Everton on 4th March as their next live match but that has not been confirmed yet. After that, they are not expected to broadcast another live Saturday match til 25th March. However, RTÉ will broadcast live matches on more Saturdays in April and May than Setanta.
