Now dont all have a go at me if its been posted all ready but I searched and I not could find.

I was just listening to "Freebird" there and it occurred to me, what are the best guitar riffs according to boards members:

A couple of my favourites are :

    FreeBird - Lynard Skynard
Stairway to heaven - Led Zeppelin
    Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter
    NewBorn - Muse
    Radio Head - Just

    Enter Sandman.....only joking.

    Sabra Cadabra
    Harvestor of Sorrow
    Blackened
    "The Trial" from the wall
I'd agree with free bird and i'd have to add the bass line from gimme three steps.

With a topic like this you could really go on forever, but I'll try to keep it to fifteen. Not necessarily my favourite fifteen riffs, just the first that come to mind...

Van Halen - House Of Pain
    Metal Church - Metal Church
Mercyful Of Fate - A Dangerous Meeting
Black Sabbath - Heaven And Hell
    Black Sabbath - Country Girl
Black Sabbath - A National Acrobat
    Dio - Holy Diver
Judas Priest - Rock Hard, Ride Free
Ozzy Osbourne - Breakin' All The Rules
    Queensryche - I Don't Believe In Love
Iron Maiden - When Eagles Dare
    King Diamond - Omens
    UFO - Rock Bottom
    Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird
    Helloween - Starlight

That's a list. Three from Sabbath may be a bit much I know, but Iommi IS King Of The Riffs after all.
