its a similar series to the excellent "band of brothers", this time set in the pacific theater...

I dont think its being called Band of Brothers: Pacific. Its just called The Pacific War .

this gives me the fear..
i don't like the idea of making a sequil to such an epic show.
needless to say i'll be watching it as soon as it's on. i just hope i'm not dissapointed

i'd say we're safe enough...if Dale Dye, tom hanks and Steven Spielberg are involved...its in good hands methinks...

If that site is correct then it follows a USO troop around entertaining the troops. Not too sure if I like that idea, but I'll still watch it when ever it finds its way here.

good stuff, hadnt heard of this. am confident it'll be every bit as good as BoB. BoB's lack of embelsihment, no "america is fantastic" crap and just sticking to the troops and their experience made it gripping viewing and a must have box set. anyone know when its scheduled to be aired?

just saw that bit about it being about a USO troupe...hmmmm....confidence lessening though it would provide a broader view of the war and it effecsts on all concerned rather than just one group. But dunno if that is a good or bad thing...hmmm.

Worst....warfilm...ever. Completely unrealistic, over the top action stunts, unbelivably cheesy dialogue and worse acting. Stay away.

Back on the point I don't really like the idea of the USO thing myself tbh. IMDB linky. Has the same amount of info since I last checked it about 6 months ago.
