here we go as i promised:

    Akira Kurosawa's Samurai 7

    sam7_box.gif

Akira Kurosawa is hailed as one of the masters of modern filmmaking and his work has inspired generations of filmmakers. George Lucas freely admits the inspiration for Star Wars was Kurosawa's film Hidden Fortress, a comic adventure tale of a young princess and her loyal soldier carrying a royal fortune on a treacherous journey to save her kingdom. The Magnificent Seven and The Dirty Dozen were heavily influenced by Kurosawa’s epic masterpiece, Seven Samurai.

To celebrate Akira Kurosawa and his legendary Seven Samurai, GONZO Digimation created Akira Kurosawa’s Samurai 7. This series is a phenomenal tribute filmed in High Definition at a budget that is twice that of a normal anime episode. Featuring the incredible production values of GONZO Digimation, well-developed characters, incredible CG animation, Samurai 7 is poised to be an instant classic.

Volume 1 of Akira Kurosawa’s Samurai 7 is called Search for the Seven and is scheduled to hit the streets on August 23 at retailers nationwide. Fans will also have the chance to pick up a limited edition box set that features volume 1, a Keepsake Box, and four 160-page storyboard booklets for episodes one through four. These booklets are full of artwork and they really showcase the high level of quality that was put into the creation of the series.

The website for Akira Kurosawa’s Samurai 7 (http://www.samurai7.tv/) is scheduled to go live during the first week of August, and will feature a lot of great content and information like a behind the scenes section comparing the anime to the original movie, character bios, image gallery, episode summaries, a bio on Akira Kurosawa, merchandise, credits and much more.

    Other Stuff

There’s only five months left in 2005 and it is never too early to start planning, so you need to start looking for your 2006 calendar. Buying a calendar is a big decision. This is the thing that you will use all year long, so it has to be something you enjoy looking at month after month. Most calendars feature the same information (month, day, holidays, etc.), so it really comes down to how they look and what character, images and scenes they feature.
