well...yeah you probably do have to take it out if they ask...if it's company policy though!
like, I've worked somewhere for 2 years and I have 25 piercings...mostly in my ears...now they don't ask me to take out my ear piercings cos i can cover them with my hair, but they've recently started to ask me to take out my nose ring and my vertical labret...now i don't , but they do keep asking me...actually telling me....

but you'll probably have to take it out if they ask...it sucks that work has to effect the way people like to look...the only thing i can think of is letting it heal and they getting too clear retainers and putting them in both piercings while at work, it would be less obvious!

    good luck!

Yeah just whack in a few "keepers" and youl be sailing :) i find it quite difficult to actually get jobs cos of mine, im not plasterd in piercings either though, labret, tragus and a cartillage piercing. They dont have to know about the others ;) Has anybody else had hassle getting a job? i think its madness though that people have a problem with them in work! Piercings dont affect your work, its just other peoples "ignorance" for want of a better word

I'm probabaly gonna have a lot of difficulty getting a job....I'm already being adviced to take them out now, cos i might be going to college to do radiography in september...but where i'm working now, they hired me looking preety much like i do...but i hid all my ear one-and there a lot of tehm-by leaving my hair down..now they're freaking out...trying to get me to take out my nose and lip and hand and ears..the lot....but i refuse....purely on the grounds that i was hired looking like this, so they're being discriminateive(sp?!)..but i have to wear a stud in my nose, just cos its easier to avoid their **** that way...and i usually just take the bottom ball off my vertical labret and put my top lip over the top ball when i see my boss coming....they're gonna love me on sunday, wheni go into work with freshly pierced wrists :)
    lol!
    oh well!

The wrist piercings are ment to be very hard to heal and usually move out. It looks very cool though i think. I just couldnt get a job this summer, jobs that i have had experience in, really irritating! But alas ive got 4repeats so maybe it was for the best.

yeah...hopefully the piercings will be fine...a lot of movements in the wrist, so they'll probably reject....but i'm good with babying my piercings...i was told there was never any point in getting my hand webs pierced cos they'd reject within months...had tehm well over a year now and they are still perfect and no signs of rejection...i'm stuborn as **** that way!!

good luck with getting a job! and the repeats!

There is a few guys around that have had some great success with doing wrist piercings,i think it is sean or stever from snakebite and paul who used to work in bodyshock is/was ment to be one of the best around doing any type of surface piercing

I still can't decide who to go to...it's between snakebite and bodyshock...I'm gonna talk to both today at the convention and see who I like better...I've been pierced by paddy before, but snakebite have been overly reccommended to me for surfacce piercings so...we shall see!!

I don't understand people who'll put their piercings before their career.
Yes, if you were hired when you had a few visible piercings, then I can see your point when you're p*ssed off that you're then told to take them out months after starting.

But if you get to the point where you're not getting a job and it must be because of your piercings, and you still won't take the visible ones out, that's a bit dumb imo.

it wasn't a couple of months after starting...it was 2 years after starting!!!

anyway, doens't matter much to me at the mo, cos I'm just 17!!!but it hurts to take out 5 years of work!
