DVD Recorder Advice

Hi all, I'm considering buying a DVD recorder in the next couple of days, as my player has given up and so may as well pay the extra bit and get a recorder. I won't be using it too much just taping the odd programme/film, but I suppose like everything if it works well i will use it more and more. Anyway, just wondering…

Anyway, just wondering what you guys (& gals) have, and what ye have heard good things about. I was thinking about a Philips DVDR610 that XtraVision are doing for €200, pretty good value me thinks. I've read a lot of customer reviews and stuff, seems pretty good.
