BS a C180 is a real merc. For sure it ain't as quick as a S55AMG but most folk aren't that bothered about speed. Build quality is fine, should be reliable and last long although repairs and service by main $tealer are very expensive - find yourself an independent specialist

Carpenter, what C180 are you looking at and are you buying from a main dealer p/exing your xsara picasso?

What it is worth depends very much on what way you sell it. In a private sale you'll probably get €10k-€11k but when you trade in against a 3 year old C180 at a merc dealer, you'll get a lot more

If you live in the city and or drive very slowly the c180 will be fine. If however you live in the countryside and like to progress swiftly along leafy lanes the c180 is not for you.
I had one as a loaner, It was awful on country roads, soft soggy suspension, could not react to potholed roads and fast bends.
Made me feel sea sick, the body roll in a bend is terrifying, and it bounces up and down twenty yards after you hit a pothole.
Otherwise a nice reliable car, it was silver looked nice parked outside winebars.!!!
