    Any decent ones around Dublin?

I know it's not exactly golf, but i need to work on my short irons and putting and don't have time for a full game.

There's a few out stepaside way.
Deer park ( howth road) has a par 3 course.
Aslo I think the spawell tempelogue ( http://www.spawell.ie/) has a par 3 course.

    Hope this helps.

    check out http://www.iol.ie/ppui/clubs.htm
for a list of all affiliated clubs to the pitch & putt union of ireland.
None of these courses would be classed as "public" but green fees would
    be available on most.

You only have 1 iron in P&P not a bag full.

Par 3 is what you want.

Old County in crumlin is a good P&P course.

    Guinness is a hard course

There's a decent par 3 in Marlay Park, and there's one in Balheary as well (never played this)

Theres one in Maynooth, through the village and continue on. - Moyglare.

It has about 4 par fours the rest par 3s.
Could be better kept but a much better challenge than Liffey Valley which i think is a bit featureless.
Its longer and has more variety.
Also harder to get to (depending on where u live).
Liffey Valley is so handy, its why its more popular.
I think its 10e to play.

If you live anywhere near marlay park, you can go into the Par 3 for free after closeing times. like they leave the gates open, and they dont care. Tons of ppl do it, and it's an alright course, you can hit a few woods there, the last hole is a monster for a par3 :)

St Anne's is good out on the Northside.

Be careful of the squirrels though, hit one once, you'd swear I killed the ranger's mother

I find it hard to believe that someone would call Marlay Park decent; I remember when the greens were green and the grass they call rough was cut well. It is a ****hole that went to pieces. And how can they justify the price, I agree that you should go there when the place closes but be careful, they lock marlay park at a certain time
