Reasonable Price to expect?

    I have a 00 VW Passat 1.8 Basic model that I am looking to trade in against a new(er) car. The garages have offered anything ranging from 6500 to 8500. Does anyone know what a reasonable price to expect is?

    It has 64K on the clock and is in great nick. Full service history, timing belt replaced etc.
