    Hi there..
    About to build a new pc hopefully.. celeron 400
    Can i use pc-100 SDRAM with the celey's 66mhz FSB?
    Also has anyone tried clocking the FSB of the celeron to 100..
    Im looking to go fir either a AOpen BX6BC or Abit BH6 mobo.. they both seem about equal..
    cheers

    Yes the 100MHz SDRAM will work and no the Celeron 400 wont run on a 100MHz FSB(Front Side Bus) cause the chip is locked at 6x so on a 100Mhz bus the chip would fry at 600MHz
    Hope this helps,

    I wonder wpould it go below 100..
    say 75, 83

    75x6 = 450, still decent enuff

    and 83 would give 498

    ?

    Humm. You should be able to get it to go at 75 or 83, though you will need **extra** cooling and may have some PCI timing probs.

    Check out http://www.sharkyextreme.com/ lots of nice stuff there, and a profile of Celeron over****ability (wow!) for the various CPUs.
