just wondering if there are any quake1 servers (irish) up and running, also any quake 2 ones. Used to play years ago, just wondering if theres any hardcores still floating around....(quake1)
Havnt really played quake3 online - is it any use? Havnt played any computer games in years, wouldnt mind starting again.

Quake 1 Quakeworld server up and running at games5.iol.ie. Also one at caffeine.blacknight.ie

Neither are used very often so you usually have to arrange a game beforehand, eg., on irc, although lately there have been games everynight on games5.

No Irish q2 servers afaik.

q3 is good online if you have broadband, an irish q3 server at games5.iol.ie rarely used but lots of activity abroad.

why is there no more q2 servers
and how come theres hardly any interest in q3 in ireland as well?

Well now that the scene is dead people are playing whatever's going I guess, and atm that's qw.

Hardcores floating around? There are still a few real oldskoolers around alright, depends on what you'd consider hardcore I guess

If you can't get on to IRC before a game, simply read MP's thread for pre-game comments on yore ma. It places you in the proper frame of mind for your standard, nightly orgy of death and destruction.

(Also, read it for accurate comments regarding Q2)
