Does anyone know why Vols 12-14 of the BotI tpbs are not stocked in this country despite being available in the UK?

Go online for them. I can get 12-14 around the place easily.

It's just one of those general pain in the ass issues. Another example Samurai:Heaven and Earth #1+2 (ironically Dark Horse again) come out, they're great, waiting for #3 with anticipation. 5 ****ing months pass by and then #4 appears last goddamn week no prior warning. The average Irish anime/manga/comic fan is treated like **** in the greater scheme of things

You think? Personally I have just found Viz to be the biggest sh*theads wrt UK/Irl manga fans.

The thing is every manga distributer is US based, so they are dealing through specialist channels for manga releases. Well Tokyopop have a UK office, whose main contribution is releasing their titles 6 months after they have gone on sale in the US (a delay of 3 volumes typically). Gollancz are now releasing some of Viz' more popular titles over here now.

Personally I would start checking out www.play.com & www.up1.co.uk & www.archonia.com. Try otherrealms.com as well. Cheap postage, flexible payment options and good prices. They are also quite exact with release dates.

Also I wouldn't be in a rush to blame Dark Horse - there is a whole pile of releases that have been delayed recently, I suspect a distributer hiccup.
