    a little cable is all thats needed, so that you can do a direct cable connect...

    you might also try 2 network cards and some coax cable...jezz and your doing a networks course!!! pah!! should be me in 3rd year not you tongue.gif...

    Ok,

    To connect two PC's you need a Null Modem Serial Cable.

    Another way is to get two systems connected is to put RJ45 NIC's (Handy if you plan to bring these systems to a Lan Party in the future) into em and connect them with a cat5 crossover cable.

    Of course you could buy a rj45 hub with NIC's as well and hold lan parties etc (This is the most expensive option smile.gif).

    if you want to copy files across..
    get your hands on the latest release of laplink .. one of the best for serial file transmission
    don't bother with "Direct Cable Connection" option in windows.. i have _never_ got it to work .. awful piece of **** that is.
