Didn't watch the whole episode but someone on Digital Spy says they cut: (my comments in bold)
    1) At the start, with the guy trapped under the plane, you see a bloody stump of his leg.
    2) There is a panning shot of the guy's body with shrapnel in it. (close up)
    3) They kinda cut the bit where the cockpit door opens - you can see more of the co-pilot's body. (I did notice that! Definantly seemed like a very quick shot - you couldn't even really see what fell out)
    4) There was blood spattering on the cockpit window after the pilot gets pulled out
    5) At the end, the camera pans up and you see the pilot's mangled body (how could anyone who has seen the "uncut" pilot not have noticed this scene missing!)

And that's just the first half of the pilot episode!

.. and we all thought RTE were bad! :D

Maybe because the 1st episode started at 8:30, presumably to allow for some big brother in between. Maybe if the normal time is 9 then they won't need to cut any more of it out.

    Let's hope so!

Probably was because it was before the watershed!

But a terrible move... couldn't they have shown that shot of the pilot after resuming the 10pm then?!

Yep, was fully expecting them to recap on those last moments and put in the shot of the pilot at 10pm, possibly with a programme content advisory beforehand... But to leave it out because younger viewers were likely to be still tuning in is insane. That's why the watershed is a *cut-off* point!

I hope the UK fans rally in complaint to Ch4 on this one. (Sky and BBC2 used to cut Buffy non-stop, but complaints ended up getting late night BBC2 repeats.)

Maybe the viewing public at large are not bothered by having little bits snipped out of their TV shows. But it never ceases to amaze me that UK broadcasters think they need to protect their viewers by idiotically scheduling material earlier than it should be. (Of course, the fact is that Lost airs at 8pm in the US, despite their heavy restrictions in relation to sex/violence/language content, but the same scenes get chopped for the UK... Lost may have edged quite close to what was acceptable for a 8pm slot (an even earlier 7pm in Central areas!), so the move to 9pm/8c from September will probably allow them to get away with a little more next season.

In any case, quite a poor start for Ch4 after all the hype... Yet more reasons to ditch traditional broadcasters in favour of DVDs upon release or other new-fangled means of TV show watching.

If it's been repeated on second chance sunday on E4 at a later time they may show it uncut but I definately think its a Watershed issue
