    hi

    im a sole trader
    how do i account for VAT paid on
    -services bought from the uk (web hosting)
    -products from the usa (misc from ebay.com)

    It will not answer it all, but ...

    Imho the UK bill should contain no VAT; you have to deal with the Irish side. It is a "reversed VAT" issue. See also: www.revenue.ie -> Taxes and Duties -> Value Added Tax.

    If I' correct you have to calculate the input VAT yourself and deduct it from the output VAT.
