    Hi

I colleague of my mother gave her bunch of Rhubarb from his own garden, what I would like to know is it safe to eat it in August. Also the rhubarb is very green and I heard you should only eat rhubarb in June.

No problem eating Rhubarb in August though usually it doesn't taste as good! Generally people don't pick it much after July to allow the root crown to build up for the following spring.

Incidentally the leaves are poisonous - contain Oxalic acid.
