    If you want a job done right then do it yourself. Anybody out there with any experience on how to set up an ISP? errmmm any rich people out there would be good too :)

    This idea was already batted around Boards by DeVore. After much investigation the costs proved prohibitive.

    A "co-operative" broadband would be a great idea, but as said it would cost an incredible amount of money to start up, invest in, buy wireless licences/buy cabling/lease existing cabling or bandwidth and then advertise and buy equipment.

    Afaik, you'd need to be a licensed operator before eircom will lets you near their equipment, systems anything with a eircom logo.

    And I'd say thats a very expensive proccess.
