Wowsa Dimitri! You got there before me! I had just logged in to wish good luck to all sitting their exams now.
I start today (argh!) but I have an excuse - I'm not repeating as I couldn't do them in the summer so lazy/incompetent doesn't apply to me!
The interesting question is, what applys to you?
    Ma ha ha

By the way, anyone know which way you go into the Kampus Kitchen? Is it through the outside way or through the Kane building?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,744 ✭✭✭deRanged

you enter through the science building - so either in the front door,
down the stairs, turn right and it's at the end of the corridor
or in through the back of the building (past the stairs turn right etc).

    best of luck!

    edit:
science building == kane building these days.
    now I'm showing my age!

Thanks very much Deranged! That WAS a prompt reply! I know the way you're talking about, just wasn't sure if it was the outside door we went in but now I know! Many thank. Oh god Dawn, wud you ever just go and study and STOP POSTINGON BOARDS!!!!!!!!!

What applys to me? a little of both i was too lazy to study for my last exam and failed Damned system organisationand and my incompetence on the topic of economics goes far beyond the point of being funny. Alas that this cloudy day should be mine to cover an entire course. I truly fear that thursday shall be my last day ever on campus and after that i'll have to grub a living in a minimum wage 9-5.

Dimitri - if you get to third/fourth year I might be correcting your homework!

Go study you two - it's lovely outside and there's spaces on the benches outside the student centre if you don't want to study inside.

Deranged, are u up in UCC now? I'm dying to know if there's spaces in the car park as I can see myself going in for 2pm and there being no space and me abandoning my poor little motor somewhere and running frantically to the Kane building..........
I have to study at home, if I went to college, I'd end up ogling talent and drinking coffee for the day!
Dimitri, you'll be grand, don't worry,
The one thing I HATE bout doing my exams now is not having my friends with me to analyse ourselves after the exams........Meh.......

just had a look - there's space in Perrot's Inch - the pay car park
    on Gaol Cross.

sounds like my plan for the day :)

can't give a grind - I've 4 hours of meetings starting in about
20 minutes. I wouldn't know the minors anyway - they were different when I did them (and I repeated them myself!)

its €900 per 10 credits...half that for 5 credits...twice that for 20 credits in case anyone asks.

so if you were repeating one module for a year it would cost you €900 (assuming its a 10 credit module) and the €845 capitation (registration.administration etc etc) fee.

I thought it depended on the course in question iirc. Different course, different fees.

I could be totally wrong though.

    me too!

Well, it would make sense that a module with practicals in labs would be more expensive than a module that only involved lectures and tutorials.

The labs need to be paid for etc.

absolutely. I'm going through the internal website now to try to find info - I can't even find the fees office on it!

afik different courses are different prices and some courses wont let u repeat one module, u will have to repeat the whole year

    Hey all,
Best of luck to anyone doing repeats! My second exam today eekk!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 641 ✭✭✭Dimitri

okay that exam was pretty dodgy so if anyone has info on the repeating the cost than please let me know. Also does anyone know what the story is with doing second year and also doing the module. I know some departments allow it but i can't find any info on it, christ someone really needs to sort out ucc's online services!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 539 ✭✭✭DawnMc

    Hey Dimitri,
Thats a pity that it didn't go well, you'll prob pass though. Go to UCC.ie and check out marks and standards. The info you want should be there!

  • Registered Users Posts: 641 ✭✭✭Dimitri

I repeated a law module in 2003/04 and i had to pay i think 780 euro but for some reason thats all i had to pay. No registration fee. I may have had to pay capitation but im not sure.

    Good luck to everyone repeating!!!

Yay, second last exam today thank christ! Are the repeats officially over on Friday? If so, wheres the party at Friday nite? The star?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,110 ✭✭✭solice

Last year after my repeats i was in no mood to party, i was exhausted. They take it out of ya.

Chances are there will be a few in the star alright but dont be expecting a big crowd
