Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Kistar play a host of dates throughout the country to coincide with the release of their debut EP. Starting off with a support slot to Basement Jaxx in Marley Park, the band then make their way down to Castlebar to play at one of the few Coastal Beats Sessions this year. Following that they officially launch the EP in Bia Bar (Thurs Sep 15th, all welcome) and the next night they’re off to Limerick. The tour finishes off back in Dublin with a slot alongside Bugz in the Attic at Remedy’s 2nd Birthday, Sat Oct 1st in the Spiegel Tent, on Georges Dock Dublin.

Kistar’s music could be described as Nu- Soul with a Funky edge. Josie’s a gospel singer, Ray plays a blues/ rock guitar style and the rhythm section definitely have the funk. Ray and Josie have released a couple of singles already under Ray’s DJ Razor guise but now they’re concentrating on the live sound and the EP reflects this. They’ve been playing live for just over a year now, to great receptions and critical acclaim supporting the likes of Richard Dorfmeister, Herbaliser, Jamie Lidell and the legendary Gwen Mc Crae. Catch them live if you can and the EP will be in the shops Sep 30th…!
