but such a wide topic,do you like evanescence?....i meant that's what all the posts have replied to...ooh wait :)

It depends on how you define pop before you can put them in the category or not. They are found under metal in shops so qed :p although...
pop metal anybody?i mean because we need to have a genre for it.

lol! They're put in under metal? in HMV they're in under Pop/Rock, which i agree on. I think that's their genre, not that it really matters! lol. But to answer that retorical question; i do like evanescence! lol. There's only 90 posts? really? wow, cool!!

Limp Bizkit is found under "Metal" in shops too, doesn't mean it's an accurate label.

i said it wasn't accurate...i suggested pop metal...
metal categories in shops is quite funny....nope no metal there.....

interesting thatou mention limp biscuit...in sallys tonight, a fellow boardser mentioned that everybody that likes metal secretly loves his 'music' heh.

If by "loves his music" you actually mean "would rather have rough sex with a cheesegrater coated in syphillis than listen to his music", then yes, your friend is right.

Fallen is a pretty bland album, however their earlier stuff is much much better. Its more melancholic and far less pop like

i do like their earlier and unreleased stuff more than songs off Fallen, but still. its a good album, tho i think Origin's better.

just got some of their earlier stuff there last night, pretty damn good.

Origin as well as Sound Asleep are much better than Fallen. The version of Whisper thats on Not For Your Ears, is WAY better than the 1 on Fallen

must get them so .....things that are better than fallen will be good in my book.

Evenesence are a great duo, i say duo cus amy and ben wrote everything and the rest of the band are just essentialy hired goons.I love their music and i think its a shame that ben is gone as there next album is gonna be total **** without him cause one of the hired goons is gonna be writing the music. As for people saying that there too soft the origional way fallen was done was a way heavyer with a few more solo's and more orchestra and stuff but the record company didnt go for it, too bad imo.
