yeh, you know it, it's hard to believe it's ten years since windows95, actually it's hard to believe if it wasn't for bill gates i probably first heard of weezer with hash-pipe and say.

who the hell are this band they suck.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,303 ✭✭✭THEZAPPA

    yay,
they are brill,i can't believe they have been around since 1994 and just because ''beverly hills'' is out people my age(15) only start to notice them-i find that so annoying.

my friend does that she only likes what is on the charts-and im like 'that band has been around for ages',then they say 'ow i have been a fan of theres for a while now and im like'what the f*ck,no you havent'

I heard them about 6 years ago between Pinkerton and TBA. I got the TBA from a friend of mine. The first time I heard it, I loved it. That rarely happens with me, where I love an album straight away (hell, it took me a while to get into Pinkerton after hearing TBA).

I suggest people to download weezer's b-sides. Some of them rank among the best songs they've ever written. I recommend Waiting On You, You Gave Your Love To Me Softly, Devotion, Mykel And Carli, Suzanne and I Just Threw Out The Love Of My Dreams. All of these songs are gold.

you can get them at www.weezer.se .

That's a great site for all things weezer. I also suggest downloading the album five demo 'Prodigy Lover'. It's a great song and one of the few truly great A5 demos. MB beats the crap out of those A5 demos, imo

Is there any mobile phone video of the gig? There was a couple of short videos from the Vicar St. gig that were cool to have.

pinkerton can be found in virgin record stores in liffy valley for €9.99.

easily their best album and one than a fan should not be without.
i hope the release a deluxe edition of pinkerton on it's tenth year (september 2006).

and some of the songs that didn't get put on the album are just as good - if not better - than the ones on the album

    to name a few

    devotion
i just threw out the love of my dreams
    waiting on you
    long time sunshine.

i'd rather they leave the b-sides and release the songs from the black hole (www.sftbh.com)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,303 ✭✭✭THEZAPPA

it's the worse song he has ever written both lyrically and muisically.

It's up there, but the worst song they've ever written, imo, is Possibilities/American Gigolo.

I really hope they release a 10th Anniversary Edition of Pinkerton aswell.
Pinkerton is my 2nd favourite album of all time (TBA is my favourite), so naturally I think it deserves it.
