Ok i'm trying to get some new music into me, however i just can't seem to find anything going around atm that i do like ... hopeing the peeps here could give some suggestions =).

    Little background :
I've grown up on Metallica , megadeth, Def Leppard that sort of stuff.
but in the last few years i really like my blues and nice riffs.

So if anyone could give me a few pointers , I've gone through Iron madien recently as my bro's are heading to the gig ( i can't as 1. i'm broke. 2. i've alreayd forked out for a Dennis leary ticket) , got a few Creed albums and the Nu-metal sutff ( some of which i really do like). So i'm pretty open to any gener of metal , but i tend to stay away from the death metal or speed metal as it's not really my bag baby.

    Thanks in advance.

Masters Of Reality - check out the first album "The Blue Garden" and the second "Sunrise On The Sufferbus" for some great blues based rock.

And maybe some Kyuss too - "Sky Valley" and "..And The Circus Leaves Town" for something a little heavier.

I think youll probably like Thrice, their guitars are fairly 'metal', but the vocals aren't all death-like n stuff.

    Download these Thrice songs:

    The Red Death
    Torch To End All Torches
    Deadolt
    The Beltsville Crucible
    Where Idols Once Stood

If you like Maiden then you'll probably like Sonata Arctica aswell, or maybe Judas Priest.

Try some Grave Digger or Iced Earth if you like Iron Maiden / Metallica

No, DON'T Download them. That's illegal, and against the rules of boards. Please don't encourage anyone else to download music illegally.

    And Nightwish are fantastic :D
Tarja Turunen's got an amazing voice.

If you'd like to try some power metal, give Sonata Arctica a go. In particular their Ecliptica and Winterheart's Guild albums. Fantastic stuff :)

If you like Creed then Check out -

    Our Lady Peace
Pearl Jam but stick to Ten or Vs. for the heavier sound.

For your Heavy Metal tastes -

Mercyful Fate (a lot of falsetto here but worth it),
Motorhead's first album Motorhead (its pre-Ace Of Spades and not as heavy as they later became but fast and mean and sounds a little rock n roll/ blues rock in places)

The following are big on harmony and not too ass rippingly heavy!
    Scorpions
    Saxon
    Blue Oyster Cult

If you want heavy power -

    AC/DC
    System Of a Down
    American Head Charge
    Pantera
    Slayer

Or if Groovetastic hard rock is your bag -

    White Zombie / Rob Zombie
    The Cramps
    Jet
    Lordi

As for your most excellent blues inclination -

Rory gallagher - Live In Europe (I just love that album)
    George Thorogood & The Destroyers
Cream / Eric Claptons earlier work
    John Lee Hooker
    Led Zeppelin
    The Flamin' Groovies

    Good Luck.

If you into bluesy rock then I would reccomend AC/DC. The first album (High Voltage) and Let There Be Rock I think are the best.

Then, try Black Sabbath, particularly the Masters Of Reality and Paranoid albums.

Hope this helps, tell us what you have since tried and liked.
