Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone know a way to do the following:

I recently went to a friends house for some Q2/Halflife LANing. Now, is is possible to get one of the PCs to connect to an outside server, using a modem, and then connect the remaining PC(s) to the same outside server through the modemed PC? I tried, and failed.

Or the easiest solution (IMHO) is linux and ipfwadm.

you could set up linux on an old PeeCee and
it should all work fine (a 486 )

Would it not be easier just to use like a direct modem to modem connection ?
you can find out more about how to do this at http://halflife.gameplex.net/modem/ it will work for games like Halife & Quake2, etc....
Its much better than the idea of dialing up your server.....
