    On some other VB forums it is possible to set the number of posts per page up to 1000 in some cases. Is it possible to increase it from the maximum 40 here?

    I'm fairly lazy like that.

    User CP --> edit options

    scroll down that page to where it says "Number of posts to show per page"

    The more posts per page, the slower the page loads as the server has to process a bigger SQL query, and therefore more data. For any forums, particularly busy ones, I wouldn't recommend allowing more than 60 posts per page, and even then I'd consider that unwise.
