Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    August 19, 2005

It has been confirmed that national broadcaster RTE will broadcast live television coverage of Cork City’s Uefa Cup second qualifying round second leg clash with Swedish side Djurgarden next week.

Cork go into the game with a good chance of reaching the first round proper of the competition following a 1-1 first leg draw in Stockholm last week.

On that occasion, they took an early lead and almost held out for a famous away win before being pegged back by Patrick Amoah’s late equaliser.

A scoreless draw will be enough to put the eircom League leaders through, and all the action from a packed Turners Cross will be screened live on RTE 2 television next Thursday evening, with coverage beginning at 7.25pm.

For those wishing to attend the game, tickets are still on sale from the usual outlets, priced at €20 for adults and €10 schoolboys/girls.

Cork have it all to do. The title is far from won and Djurgardens can get a 1-0 or 2-1. They should do it since they are playing good football and are in form.

    Should be a great occasion.

I was getting carried away with our recent results.

Tonight gives me a kick in the whole/hole :o , we are fallible :D , BUT!, we still can do it at the 'Cross.

It will be very very difficult but it is doable. I'll be watching anyway, a good decison by RTE to show it.

City are also on TG4 vs Bray on September 9th. Jeez, when it doesnt rain, it pours.

Should be a great occasion on Thursday. That said, Id happily lose on Thursday if City were to go on to win the league.
