Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    have my laptop and desktop now connect unsecurely to my router

    what do I need to do to make it secure

    do I need to change the ssid from "netgear" ?
    whats best - wep or wpa-psk or wpa-802.1x

    anythiong else I need to know ???

    i use wpa-psk :) doesnt anyone use the search function :(

    WEP is crap ... can be cracked with tools from the web ... WPA-PSK (pre shared key) is the one you want ... you put in a good password (uppercase and lowercase with numbers i.e. not guessable) and it can create per user, per session and per packet keys ...
    the last one is for use with a radius server and uses a key from it ... not really applicable for home use
