Strange Boards.ie Structure.

I have www.boards.ie/ctyi in the quicklinks dropdown menu from my address bar. When I click on it I am brought to the forum only it has a very strange configuration and there are no geek headings (i.e. Subbed, Arts, Biz, Comp, etc.) I took a screenshot and here it is:…

It's been suggested that it's some sort of mistake with testing that I've stumbled upon.

(The pic. is clearer if you "save as" and then preview it.)

Edit: Just noticed that when I go there the window heading says, "powered by vBindex," rather than the usual.

I remember this being discussed as a possible new feature months ago when boards.ie was under some difficulty with cash influx.

Nice to see ideas like that come to fruition

Yeah that's why it's gone

So far we just have www.boards.ie/ctyi and icdg - DeV has been proposing this portals ideas, so maybe you can post here and say what other forums you'd like to see 'portalised'.

I'm not so sure about the god bit; I managed to break boards for most of today with the 3.0.8 upgrade and trying to install the vBAdvanced system.

But glad you like it anyway...

Any particular reason why there's a 'latest threads' window along the left-hand side and at the bottom of the page?

Also, can this portal idea be taken further? Taking the film boards for example, what about having a gateway to the Film/Reviews/TV/Production/Awards board, with recent film reviews etc making the portal page. More hassle than it's worth?
