Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    This was an assignment I did for leaving cert English. Basically, it's a short story in a paragraph. It was the most fun thing I ever did for that class besides the essay I wrote in the exam (which I don't have a copy of), so I thought I'd post it.

    The Bar

    I took my sister to the bar. She was underage, and excited by the prospect.
    I bought her a half litre of Spanish lager and asked her about herself. It was
    a conversation about common ground: school, parents and growing up. We
    surprised each other with our insights. Then we went back to the room. My
    Dad was mad. We didn't care.
