Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Setanta cup gets bigger and lets Shels in

    OMG what a shock!!!!!!
    Monday 22nd August 2005: Following a review of the Setanta Cup between the Football Association of Ireland, the Irish Football Association and sponsors, Setanta Sports, it has been decided to extend the Tournament to eight teams.

    The winners of the eircom League Cup and the CIS Cup in Northern Ireland will join the League winners and runners-up as well as the National Cup winners of each Association.

    Further details in relation to the next Tournament will issue in due course.

    Oh i never saw that coming so announce league cup winners are in when theres only 4 teams left in it and one of them is Shels who wont be getting in any other way.

    Come on UCD!!!!!!!!!

    The FAI had this annoucement in the pipe for a very long time, It was always going to be the League Cup , what else would it be. It matches the CIS thing up the north

    Its plainly obvious with Shels out of the 2nd spot for the league and not in the FAI cup that it was given to them.

    Could have sworn someone just like you said giving it to the LC winners would devalue it and let a ****e team like pats in, could have been you or some pirate guy......

    Easily one of the worst matches I've been to. Shels desevered to win full stop depsite being sh!te but as they say it's not all over till the fat lady sings. I couldn't give much of a toss about the eL cup but the manner which we lost tonight is truly disgraceful no matter what competition we are playing in.

    2005 just gets worse and worse for Shels and I reckon there is worse to come.
