Undercurrent returns on September 23rd for an extra-special night in the form of DJ Aphrodite who returns to Dublin for the first time in donkeys. As long time fans of the man, we are very excited about this gig! this is a rare opportunity to catch a show which has won rave reviews worldwide.

Howdy All,

We're back, we've got a new home and we've a very bassin' big night on
the cards for y'all.

Undercurrent returns on Friday 23rd September with the legendary Drum
and Bass DJ Aphrodite. Our new city centre home of The Hub will be
hosting this bass melting night for Dublin's most nomadic club night.

Back for an extra-special night in the form DJ Aphrodite of who
returns to Dublin for the first time in donkeys. As long time fans of
the man, we are very excited about this gig! Support on the night
comes from Break beat DJ Simon F of FOOD and Hospital.

Bio

Aphrodite AKA Gavin Kings' career in Djing & producing has spanned 11
years to date, he is responsible for making millions of Drum & Bass
fans jump up with happy Looks on their faces everytime he released a
hip hop or RnB Drum & bass blaster - remember "Some Justice", "Jungle
Brothers - True Blue" and "Style from the Darkside", to name but a few.

Gavin runs Aphrodite recordings, had first successful Album release
with the V2 label, and is partners with Mickey Finn in Urban Takeover.
So we can look forward to more infectious tunes, up in the air beats
and seriously stomping basslines coming thick and fast for the
remaining future.

Such is the influence of Aphrodite on the Drum & Bass scene that
numerous artists seek his talents as a remixer. He has remixed the
likes of Jungle brothers, Mary J Blige, Blackstreet, Nine inch nails,
Johnny L, Tribe called quest, NWA to name a few.

Aphrodites' second album featured new styles of rolling deep basslines
and vocals from the likes of Rah Digga, Schoolly D and Big Daddy Kane,
there's no let up for all those hip hop junglists either.

Aphrodite has been busy this year with festival dates at the glade
festival in the UK and the Lowlands festival in the Netherlands. He
has also released a new mix cd called overdrive that's out now on feed
