    An updated advisory is due any moment now concerning newly formed Tropical Storm Jose.

    As it is so close to land it is unlikely to become a hurricane, however it means that more records are being broken with regard to how early a "J" named storm has formed this year.

    It is also worth noting that there are other things happening in the atlantic. with the possibility of tropical storm 12 and 13 on the way within days.

    SHORTLY AFTER 400 PM CDT... RECONNAISSANCE AIRCRAFT REPORTED THAT
    MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS IN TROPICAL STORM JOSE WERE NEAR 45 MPH.
    DETAILS WILL FOLLOW IN A SPECIAL ADVISORY TO BE ISSUED SHORTLY...
    MAINLY TO UPDATE THE INTENSITY FORECAST.

    Jose's coordinates are 19.7 N 95.7 W
    @4am they were 19.8 N 96.2 W
